BB Guns, Dodgeball and Wildfires.....OH MY!

This weekend was the annual 24th of July festivity and celebrations down in the wonderful town of Levan Utah. We had the flag ceremony and the breakfast (which we never have gone to but did this year. It was fun!) and then the Parade. this year the kids were in one of the newer trucks instead of on top. I enjoyed the parade on the sideline next to my wonderful mother-in-law, sister-in-law and nephews. From there we went to the park and played all day and had a picnic. Emily did the BB gun shoot and won! way to go Baby! Zach played a little dodge ball with the girls in the town and won a six pack of sprite for his efforts, then all of a sudden a little ol wildfire popped up right across from the family's Dairy farm and my father and brother in-law had answer the call to go fight the fire. Well, the fire soon got beyond their control and the BLM, DWR, DNR, Forest Service, and all those lovely government departments soon took over. It was awesome seeing all the helicopters and the planes fighting the fire. Paul went to help with the evacuations of the 6 homes that were up on the mountain. They had homes to evacuate and horses and other property to help. Other town members got tractors and helped build fire lines. IT was truly a scary thing to go through but also to witness the hand of God change those winds and save those homes, many miracles occurred, The town was truly being watched over. I am grateful for the firemen and women and police officers that go into danger to help people in need. Thank you!. If you can dodge a wrench, You can dodge a ball!! Look at this BB Gun winning crack shot!! Good job Baby! Don't we look Fabulous! just checking out the fire from the back of the four wheeler with our binoculars!! From the In-laws back yard!

Happy Fourth of July!

Happy Fourth of July 2014!!! Can you believe it is already July?!?!? where does the time go. We just had Zachary's 9th birthday this week, school starts in 3 weeks (first time in year round school) and the gardens are growing nicely. We also had our ward primary parade again this year, numbers were low, but it was a blast!!
