Where a kid can be a kid.....

Saturday was Paige-E-poo's 3rd Birthday and Connor's 1st Birthday was on Friday so, Lori and Cory and Rebecca and McKell invited everyone to come to Chuck E Cheeses for a big Birthday party. The kids had a ball getting their tokens and playing all the games for tickets to turn in for cheep prizes,( like a bookmark worth 20 tickets that I could have drawn better, and I don’t draw). We had pizza and drinks and sang Happy Birthday, but it was a madhouse. What we do for our Children's entertainment. OH to be a Parent! And in the end, We again found out that We are raising a Klepto!!Yeah you heard right, I said a Klepto. Paul caught Zachary trying to steal a token from some random kid and running for it, but the kid caught hold of his shirt sleeve, and Paul made Zachary give it back. Last week he took a Cadbury cream egg from Wal-Mart after Paul had check out and was shoving it into his mouth. Paul went and paid for it and made Zach throw it away. I really don't know what to do with the kid. I guess that's life and we live and learn, I just hope He learned from this. We will see!

Finished product!

I finally got the quilts done. All day Thursday I worked on them to get them done, and the kids beds made. I finished the binding and my fingers hate me today because I had to hand sew the back of the binding to the quilt to finish it. but they are done. now on to the next project, whatever that might be.

Valentine's and Quilting Bee's

This weekend was Valentine’s Day. It all started on Thursday by filling out the valentines for Emily's class on Friday. She went to school and had a fun valentine’s party; they made heart visors, cookies and played valentines bingo. She came home with quite the hall of cards and candy. We took valentines to all of our loved ones within walking distance, and then when Paul got home from work we drove down to Grandma and Grandpa Bateman's for the night to have fun and play with the cousins. on Saturday my sister-in-law Lori and I had ourselves a quilting bee.( I have been wanting to make the kids a quilt for their beds for some time now, because Emily's has had it and Zachary has never had one and is using an old quilt of mine.) so I stared sewing quilt tops for them a couple of weeks ago, and now it was time to tie them. Lori, Cory, Paul and I whipped both of them out on Saturday morning, now I just have to put the binding on them. On Saturday night we went to the Levan young women yearly fundraiser dinner, fun was had by all (hehehe) and dinner was good too. Poor Gail was sick with the flu stuff that is going around and that I just got over (it sucked) I hope she gets better quick. It was a Love filled weekend, and now my back and thumb are killing me, Oh yeah and my loving husband had flowers sent to me down in Levan that was a lovely surprise because I was not even expecting it. I hope everyone had a Happy Valentine’s Day!

Walking with the Dinosaurs

This was the coolest thing that I have done with my kids. Starting in December I saw the commercials for Walking with the Dinosaurs and I told myself that I had to go. So Paul and I got to talking and bought tickets. So on Saturday January 17th we took trax downtown, got off at the Delta (it will always be the Delta center to me). We were a little early so we walked over to the Gateway and found a Starbucks for a cup of Hot Chocolate and a muffin, which burned up some time, and then we went and got into our seats. When it started it was the coolest event I have ever been to. They took you through all the eras that the different Dinosaurs lived in and told us how the earth could have looked like in each of those eras. All in all it was a fun day. I just took the pictures off of the camera so I thought I would share them.

Never thought I'd make it did you?!?!

Ok,Ok, I have finally made it to the bloging world. Its been on my mind for a while now and most of my friends are blogging I better get with the program and start, so if Paul can have a facebook account and keep up with it I should be able to do this. Besides I hope I can keep up with this better than I have been keeping up on my scrapbooking. Yeah I have almost a year and a half of pictures to scrapbook and I keep putting it off. so we will see if I can keep this up. I hope all of you enjoy.
