summer creations: Sand art

This weeks art project was sand art pictures. we took white contact paper and put a construction paper frame around it and sprinkled it with sand of all different colors, and then put a clear piece of contact paper over it. another hit with Emily. I need to find some kind of art class to put her in or something. She loves to create things.

this is the finished projects! see the joy in Zachary's face.hahahehe!

This is a craft that We came up with for Girls Camp next week. I put one together before so they can put it together up at camp. It's a necklace holder or ribbon holder or what ever the girls would like to do with it.

Summer creations!!

So in the attempt to keep my children away from the TV, I have looked through all my family fun magazines and found some fun and easy things to do with them. this is the first week so we did tie-dye discs. we drew designs on a cut out coffee filter and put a hole in the middle and made a wick and placed that in water and watched the ink blend like tie-dye. Emily was excited about this, it was right down her artistic alley.

Arizona!!

Look how cool they are, in person they are so much cooler to see than in pictures. and they are everywere. I just think they are cool.

So this last week the kids and I went with my Mom,Dad,and Taylor to Phoenix to see Philip and Amber and the Kids. Philip was Graduating from Pharmacy school and we were packing them up to move to St. George. we got there on Wednesday, played at the park on Thursday and the Graduation and Mom's birthday were on Friday. we swam in the pool, had BB Q's and Birthday Cake for Mom's Birthday. then on Saturday we got up, packed the horse trailer up with all of there stuff and hit the road to St. George. it was a fun trip, and I never want to drive a car again, but fun non the less. I glad that I went.

Where have we been...

OK, we are still here. let me just catch everyone up on our whirl wind of a month. First we had a Dinner and Auction for Young Men/Young Women for the summer river trip they are going on. we all had to come up with something to auction, mine was 4 aprons. The Dinner went really well and the youth earned over $7000.00. good job!

Second Zachary started Soccer, the very first sport ever played. It was touch and go at points, but He played a couple of games. He was a brat all the other moments, but we got him to play, He got his pictures with the team and He got his first Trophy,in the end everyone made it out alive, including him.

finally the third and biggest event, Paul walked in Precession at the University of Utah for his Bachelors of Business Administration degree. we had a very nice dinner with his Family then we went up to the Huntsman Center for the big event. Now we are in the home stretch, he has to finish 3 classes this summer and He is done. we are also in the last week of Emily's first year in School. It is hard to believe that she is almost in 1st grade. man time does certainly fly. so in a nut shell that is our month.
