Mothers day and flower!

This year in activity days we did these cute picture clip boards for our moms. Hopefully the girls had as much fun putting them together and giving them to their moms, as the Moms are going to enjoy them. A lot of Thought and love and sweat went into coming up with this idea,(Big shout out to Pinerest!) Emily joined the choir at School this year and we had her year end program. Also the 2014 flowers for the yard are now in the ground. I spent all day Friday putting these beauties in the ground, all while working on my tan!! hehe I think I went a little overboard on the Geraniums, but hey!, if you like something keep going with it and buy MORE! Thanks to Skyline floral for the big beautiful Geraniums this year. If you ever stop selling them, I WILL Cry!

The last few weeks have been one big roller coaster ride for the Bateman/ Hatton family. Elise and Taylor had cute Baby Declan at the end of February (3 weeks early!), Emily went on a couple of field trips, Philip and Amber moved into their new house, Parent Teacher Conference came and went (both kids are doing wonderfully in school!) More power to you sweetheart!) we changed TV service ( which at this point I am not too thrilled about. Give me a month and I can let you know how I truly feel about it.) We got our veggie garden ready to go and planted potatoes and went to the temple all in one day! ( I feel very accomplished!) Zach had the Blue and Gold dinner for cub scouts and Emily had 5th grad Maturation all in one evening(That is what two parents are for! Tag team, your it!!) Yes, I said 5th Grade Maturation, I was rocking back and forth in the corner ALL day!. And, drum roll please...... My Baby Girl turned 11!! (This mamma is feeling old!) March was such a busy month! I don't see when life is going to settle down, I thing it is actually speeding up! Here are pics from the last month.....Enjoy!

Wow!, is it already February?!?!?

Well. Here we are. February! After an exciting and nerve racking time at Christmas, getting the truck back and all the stuff in the wallet back, Life just keeps going. I got a new calling that I have absolutely NO IDEA WHAT I AM DOING! Primary chorister! yes, that is what I said. But needless to say it is going ok for the ability that I have, none of the kids had kicked me out yet. So other than that, things are going along just nice. We had a Valentines day party with my kids and nephews. We played some minuet to win it games, a little bingo, and had some pizza for dinner. It was fun! Love these times with them! Also, Emily had her science fair at school. She did her report on Betsy Ross, she came up with the idea for her board and everything. I cant belive how old she is getting. we are so proud of her. Finally, here are 2014 class valentines. I think they turned out cute! without pintrest I would be no where. I give thanks to whoever came up with this really cute idea!

The story of a little truck!

Ten years ago this month we bought Paul's little Nissan pickup. It sure has been a GOOD little truck. On Sunday December 15th we thought we lost our little loyal friend for good..... Paul had a Christmas program for the Sterling singers, (a group he sings with.) he took the truck with him to help haul stereo equipment. After unloading, he changed into his suit and put his grubby clothes in his truck, not realizing that he had his wallet with him. He also had is work laptop with him and had them in the truck. Fast forward to 9:00 p.m. that night, he walked out and the truck was no where to be found. After a lot of panicking, reporting to the police, calling and canceling All of our cards, and having my Dad bring him home, we had a pretty hard night with little to no sleep. Fast forward to the next day, we went to the bank, then to the drivers license division to get him a new license. We finished up and got back on the road. Paul decided to drive down the street where this all happened on 4700 south and 4000 west. As we drove down the street he glanced over and thought he saw it in the Smiths parking lot. We were in the far lane so we had to go a little further and turn around. Sure enough there our loyal little truck sat. Both of us just sat and bawled big crocodile tears. To top it all off, there was little to NO damage at all! We were stunned. It most likely sat there all night. We think they just got in and drove it down the street and ransacked it there and took off. Paul said that it was more curiosity than a prompting to go look for it, but I say all the way that is was a prompting from heavenly father. So we got our truck back, and the wallet funny enough, but nothing was left in the wallet and the lap top bag was gone. Oh well, we will just have to deal with that stuff, but we had the truck!! To top this little tale off, a Utah Highway Patrol officer called on Tuesday afternoon to inform us that he found some cards of Mr. Batemans, and to give him a call. Paul called and low and behold a state employee had found a stack of cards, by the little white church up by the state capitol. Again we were floored. Every item in the wallet was there. EVERYTHING! We have truly been watched over and blessed. nothing got charged on our cards and everything was found. We truly do have a loving heavenly father. Now we just need a phone call about the laptop and all with be right with our world!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree......

Well, December is upon us. Thanksgiving was wonderful we had it at our house for my family this year. Lots of food left over. I did not have to cook for four whole days! Yeah Man!! So onto the Christmas Decorations. I added a new tree this year, just a little guy by my TV, but it adds to the family room quite well. We also added wreaths to either side of the garage. Have I told you how blessed we are to have a house? Boy are we, and I am thankful for it everyday! I just have to be slow about getting more decorations, because I could go broke! I hope all have a wonderful Christmas season, and happy decorating! This is my newest porch decoration. Found it on pinterst, just had to try and make it....I think it needs something with it.....Thinking on it.....

Also Zach has been working on his Pinewood Derby car for pack meeting this month. We had a little Halloween party with the Grandkids this last weekend. we played a couple of games and had mummy dogs for lunch. Chubby Bunny was the funniest. Gotta love Halloween!
